Default burn out the way they do

can u please help me with this expression?!!! I inutitively understand the meaning but I haven't found a definition.

Let's say you are selling tires. Yes, you can call all the tire dealers in the Yellow Pages, butyou need to better qualify these prospects, or at least let them know in advance you are going tocall them. With a good program of lead generation your salespeople won't burn out the way they do calling high rejection names.
