floor vs story Hello,
Is there any difference in meaning between the words floor and story (storey)?
Do they have different connotation?

Teacher Re: floor vs story My husband thought that stories might be viewed from the outside but floors from the inside.
This building is 24 stories, I live on the 12th floor (not story). (?)

Teacher Re: floor vs story Speaking of floors and storeys: A three-storey building in Britain/Australia has a ground floor, a first floor and a second floor.
In US, it has first, second and third floors.
