Can you proofread the following sentence?
My favourite sports is tennis.
My favourite animal is panda.
I like pandas.

Could I write like this?
My favourite sport is the tennis.
I don't understand 'the panda' is used here while 'tennis' without 'the'. How about 'My favourite food is sushi'. Could I say 'the sushi'?

If we go back to the usage of "Article", we do not use "the definite article" before the name of a game. (Not a teacher)
