| several thousands of thousands of Do both point to the same thing or are they meanings apart? Advance Thanx |

| 'thousands of' leaves it wide open, as in 'thousands of people gathered to celebrate.." we don't know whether this is 3, or 20, or what. The same with ' people in their thousands..' 'several thousand' implies more than two, but not many - something between 3 and 5. |
