Thanks Jamie for your correction !

Ok, now I'd love to say to you : Welcome you to do corrections for me too! :) what do you think? hehe...

Oh, it's so sad to know that you pc is not happy today so as to delay your internet speed. But I just wonder where you can find another new one to reply me here if you throw your current pc out of window, ;)

Trying to reduce the temps on your pc to shrink the weight, then it might be easier for your naughty pc to be quicker on internet access.
:)

Correction.

Rather than saying "Welcome you to do corrections for me too!" it would be better to say "You are welcome to do corrections for me too!" (The first sentence is not idiomatic English.)

I hope that helps.

As always,

Thanks Ron!

You really help me on the spot! For a long time, I take the "welcome" as a VERB which is supposed to be an "adjective" here! :)

best regards,

Lucy with respect

You are right. It is an adjective in that sentence, as noted here: http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=welcome

And, of course, 'welcome' is a regular verb, unlike most of the 'come' family.

Perhaps that is because they started out differently. Perhaps the verb form of welcome evolved when the language was changing.

come
[Middle English comen, from Old English cuman. See gw- in Indo-European Roots.]

welcome
[Middle English, alteration (influenced by wel, well), of Old English wilcuma, welcome guest, welcome; see gw- in Indo-European Roots.] (From the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language.)
