    Default correct expression

I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude and respect to our 68th High Priest Nichinyo Shonin for his great compassion in travelling a long distance to conduct this enshrinement ceremony.

Is the sentence correct and, if so, is 'to' the correct preposition?

Should it be ' ... express heartfelt gratitude to and respect for ...?

    Many thanks.

Leave it as you have it. It is fine.
