It is not a quote. I was given the text in Bulgarian by a company. They wanted me to translate it into English, and since I am not a professional translator, and I have never been abroad I wanted to know if my translation would be understandable.

Try:

There has never been tension due to ethnic conflict in Bulgaria, at least not like that witnessed in some other Balkan countries.
