Default grammer

what is the correct grammatical name for taking a word such as love and using each letter to make another word..ie..L is for the way you look at me...O is for the only one i see

it's called an acrostic

You will see acrostics in newspapers. The puzzle is to find a series of words listed in a vertical column. HOWEVER, the actual 'acrostic' is that the first letter of each of these words, when read from top to bottom, form another word.
This is not what you mean. You are looking for the word that describes:
M is for the million smiles she gave me
O is for the only....
T is for the...


Put them all together, they spell MOTHER, the only girl in all the world to me.

Honestly, the kind of thing on the hit parade on the radio way back then!!!
