Say I kill your cat, and you then kill my dog in retaliation. The two wrongs do not together result in something being right. Both of us were wrong.

If I steal something from a house, is it right to break in again to return it? Both actions are wrong, so can they together be right?

Do the ends justify the means by which you reach them?
