Default kick-off-your-shoes =?

Quote:
For winter recreation, it doesn't get much better than Mt. Bachelor, with its 3,365-foot vertical drop and 350 annual inches of snow. The Oregon ski resort has it all when you throw in some kick-off-your-shoes nightlife; the area's Upper Castle Keep Lounge warns, "Choose one of our other facilities if you can't handle too much fun!"
Dear Teacher:

What does " kick-off-your-shoes" mean? very excited? Is it slang?

Thanks in advance!

It usually means "relaxed" - you feel so comfortable you can kick off your shoes and go barefoot. I think in this context you can interpret it as you suggest - that the action is lively and exciting, and you are all partying so hard that your shoes fly off your feet.

... probably both those meanings - so relaxed and casual that people dance wildly and uninhibitedly.
