Default Please correct my grammar

20 replacement boxes will be shipped with 4000 pcs ABC123 in one 40’ container per vessel xxx. The container no. is xxxx. This is the first time from this factory to moistens the grease stains in the box,, we had reminded them to pay more attention when their people received the equipment / container from the shipping company to avoid this happen again. Would you please give them one chance and help to waive the penalty of USD200.00? We appreciate for your help.

Why you change "we had reminded..." to "we have reminded..." ? Please.

Because this is the first time the company has been at fault. They have been reprimanded for this fault once.

If they had previously done a similar thing and been told about it then, only to do the same thing again, then Zoe would say "had told".
