Hi there,

I remembered when I left for the states to further study, I said goodbye to my dad and mum. I left with a missing feeling.

(Is 'missing feeling' a correct way to describe how I missed my family when I had to leave them.)

Thanks
pete

"feeling that... i was missing something/leaving something behind/something was missing".

You may well miss your family once you have gone, but "a missing feeling" is not an English form. These are possible ways to say what you felt:

I left with a feeling of sadness.

I left with a wistful feeling.

I left with a sense of yearning.
