questions over grammar???

1. After the car was fixed it ran ___________ again.
a. Perfect
b. Perfectly

2. The tree was _________ on the forest floor.
a. lying
b. laying

1. the word is modifying a verb, so the adverb is used. Perfectly.

I lie on my bed.
I lay a table for tea.
