Is 'during the weekend' correct? I don't think so. I think it's Singlish.

Hi Koh.
'during' is possible but it seems to hold more of a continued state, shopping for a good portion of it or a number of times. 'at' or 'on' are normal neutrals telling that shopping takes place on/at the weekend.
