What is the expression?
Dear Teachers,
Recently I heard someone use an expression which sounded like, "It turns out awash, " or, " It turns out a wash," and judging from the context he seemed to want to say, "It turns out even, " or, " It turns out to be the same." Would anyone know what the expression could have been?
Thank you.
Regards,
YY

We say a 'washout', but that means it didn't work out.
