Saying here is a gerund or a continuous tense?
He rang me saying that = is an action. So it is a participle.

Nicole: Do you hear Kevin will come here this weekend?

It sounds odd to me to use "Do" for this "one time action". The present simple is used for habitual/routine events.

Nicole: Have you heard Kevin will come here this weekend?
