7)Chong Wei had hoped to skip the tournament claiming he was mentally tired after competing in the Thomas Cup qualifiers in Vietnam, the All-England and the Swiss Open.
why reading,trying,worrying,getting,claiming and having are applied in these sentence?why don't we use original word?could someone explain to me?

I'm not a teacher, but here "to have to" means "be obliged to", "be compelled to", "must. So, "I am dreadfully sorry that I must inform you ..." or "I am dreadfully sorry that it is my duty (obligation) to inform you ..." |
