right word
Hi,
I am wondering what is the right adjective (or whatever appropriate word) if I want to describe a child, which is used to get anything it wishes, and refuses to accept any authority. (Not only stubborn, it has more to do with the approach of the parents to the child. Now I got an idea : is it possible to say that it is spoiled?) Hope you have understood what kind am I thinking of
.
Thanks a lot,
cajka.

Re: right word
Better to say 'spoilt' child.
A child can be spoilt by over-indulgent parents, but the child does not necessarily defy authority or attempts at discipline.
To get the combination, I think you might be looking at 'spoilt brat'
'spoiled', to my mind, is better used to mean 'diminish or destroy the value or quality of something'. "The knitted jumper she made was spoiled by all the stitches she had dropped." "The souffle was spoiled by cooking at too high a temperature."
compare :
'spoilt' as in harm the character of (a child) by being too lenient or indulgent
That may be just in my mind.
