Could you please check the following sentence.
Is this sentence correct?
Neither my refusal nor mocking laughter of my gaze could make you give/ gave up.
What I try to say is...
I refused (whatever the person asked for)
and at the same time.. I looked at him as I was laughing
but he didin't change his mind...
neither this nor that could make you gave up or give up

As a Brit, but not a teacher, my suggestion would be:
Neither my refusal nor the mocking laughter of my gaze could make you give up.
