The
aim of this story is to show how some people living in Europe are losing their religion. And how the clergy is concerned about it.
So the reporter interviews a young college girl and she is very flippant about God and what God/religion means to her, even on her wedding day.
This re-affirms the story's "slant" on the issue.
Please don't take things so literally. This girl may or may not be "typical" of Europeans.
The writer found a perfect sample of a youthful person who has no room for God in her life. She is ONE person, however

One could argue that she is NOT typical of a modern European youth.
