jam
Hi
Could you tell me if the noun jam is countable or uncountable? When I speak of jam , I think of the noun phrase traffic jam
Thank you very much.

Re: jam
traffic jam is a countable compound noun
you could also be referring to a particular type of food
which can be both countable or uncountable ,depending on whether you meant different kinds of jam
or the stuff as such
hope this helps

The southern regions - yes, there are some wonderful places there. However, as a person from Northern Germany (also referred to as 'Nordlicht') I daresay you have missed a lot.
Maybe you'll get another chance to catch up on visiting the lowlands and the sea (not forgetting the towns, of course).
