use of having

Hi ,
could you plz explain me the correct use of "HAVING" ?

I read that it is used for eating something but then I came across my sentences with 'having' like

I'm sorry you can't come in at the moment because we are having the house decorated right now

also, why have we used because and not ........as we are having the house decorated right now

It's called causative have, which is a way different story to the have meaning possession.
Your sentence reads that a person has arranged somebody to do some decorating in the house. I repeat - it's got nothing to do with possession, hence you can use all forms of have in this case. And one more thing - this causative have could never be replaced by have got.

I think you could replace because with as.
