Hi everyone!
"They didn't give the concert after all last night." "Didn't they? Why not?"
Is it a good question here - "didn't they?" Maybe: Did they?

It has to be "didn't" as the original statement says that. You can rephrase "Didn't they" as "Did they not", but it is a bit over-formal.

I'm asking because we usually use a negative question tag when the sentence is positive and vice versa, i.e. He has passed the exam, hasn't he? He didn't break the window, did he?

But it isn't a question tag. It is a question in its own right.
