Hi again,
I'd appreciate it if you could help me translate the sentence:

"In order to survive demands on time and attention, a leader must be able to focus on what really matters."

Here i am interested in the word "attention" -i just cannot get what word it is connected with in the sentence and what its translation may be in this particular context.

Thanking you in advance.
All the best,

Maria

Here in order to survive means, I think, in order to fulfil now the rest of the sentence, including the usage of word attention will be okey.

Thank you.
I do agree with the meaning of "to fulfil/meet the demands". What about "attention" here then? Does it mean the demands will be fulfilled as soon as possible and with as much attention and care paid to it as possible?\

All the best,
Maria

"In order to survive demands on time and attention, a leader must be able to focus on what really matters."

First of all, thank you for giving your opinions to my questions(about Present Perfect Tense and no/not any). I really appreciate it.

My interpretation of the sentence above is "In order to survive demands on time and (demands on) attention(what to pay attention to), a leader must be able to focus on what really matters."

I'm not a native speaker of English, so I may be wrong.
Please think of it as one of the non-native speakers' opinions.

Thank you.

The definition of attention is: the act of listening to, looking at or thinking about sth/sb carefully.

In order to survive you need to think about the issue carefully, paying attention to all the details.

By the way, is this sentence "In order to survive demands..." right?

Hi,
Thank you for your contribution.
I guess the sentence is correct as it was taken from an authentic book "Intelligent Business". Why do you think it doesn't sound right?

All the best,
Maria
