Sundays at 8/7 c

I'm from Germany and on TV it's always called "Sundays at 8/7 c" or "Mondays at 8/7 c". So nobody wants to tell me what the "8/7 c" means.
I guess it's a time statement. but what time does it mean

I believe "c" means, central (time).
