Default keep a hold on myself

Dear teachers,

Recently I have come in for eager pursuit and inferior criticism which got on my nerves and shattered them for any length of time. It turn out that I am absolutely unshod for similar unacceptable and noxious condition. I have to be faced with reallity. I have to give a meaning of the words as quick-tempered, fretful, hot-tempered, angry, sross, touchy, susceptible, in a huff, testy, pettish, querrelsome, caustic, shrew, scold, querolous, peevish, to get angry, to flare up.

Would you be kind enough to verify the following sentences concerning the indespensible activity that I have to undertake in the first place.

I should keep a hold on myself, and not go to pieces like that.
Keep my nerves under control.

Master my feeling.
Master my pashion.
Get things properly under control.
Pull myself together.
Regain my self-composure.
Master my temper.
Take myself in hand.
Get a hold on myself.
Invade mind of myself.
Get control of myself.
To mobilize myself forced.
Not go to pieces.

Would you tell me whether the following expression are properly written as well as whether they come into use in your English?

lose myself-control , lose control of myself, lose myself presence of mind, get upset, unstring myself nerves.
keep myself head cool, keep cool

Regards.

V.

... in a less formal register, you can use the idiom 'to get a grip of [or "on"] oneself'. This can be shortened, as in the elided instruction 'Get a grip'. A synonym for this is 'Pull yourself together'.

Hi BobK,

Thank you for your further information. I found to my taste such expressions as “to take grip on myself” and “to get a grip on myself”.

Regards.

Now, try saying these to yourself, too:

Easy Does It
Let Go and Let God

Hi Susiedqq,

Thank you for your attention to my embarrassment. Thank you for your striving to help me out of the present difficult position in the hour of need. My heart fills with joy any time when I get into contact with a clever person and there is no doubt about that. Yours not according to standard versions of my original expressions demonstrate the truth of my speculation. Thank you again for your philosophical pearls.

What is the meaning of easy going?

Basically a non abrasive personality. Someone who doesn't allow many things to affect them negatively. Someone who may not be too active physically. It can mean one or more of these things.

Let God worry about it!
If you are anxious, tense, or concerned about anything in your life, dear friend, begin now to relax, let go and let God fill your need.

The toe injury isn't a big deal.

"Understand that most problems are a good sign. Problems indicate that progress is being made, wheels are turning, you are moving toward your goals. Beware when you have no problems. Then you've really got a problem... Problems are like landmarks of progress."

live and let live = show tolerance for those different from yourself.
Live and let live is a pretty good philosophy. If the guy in the next lane isn't buckled up, why not leave him alone?

There are a few emandations of my original expressions.

I have to try to invade mind of myself.
invade = come over, seaze (feeling, thought)

I have to fight for control.
I have to smother my anger.
I have to rein in mine anger.
I have to curb my tongue.

Regards.

V.
