Default grapple

Hi,

could you please tell me what "grapple" means inthe following sentence:

There´s not a single grapple, pole, trap, bobbin or arms that we would hide from you (it is about fishing and hunting).

Is "grapple" the "fish hook" or is it a "tip" or "trick" for fishing?

Thanks a lot!

Hanka

It is the fishing term, but without the full context one can't say if the author is using it straight or metaphorically.

The text says that the TV channel doesn´t hide their fishing tricks. Tells us which season, what kind of weather, which places and which equipments are the best. Then the original sentence follows: There´s not a single grapple, pole ......We´ll teach you the recipe of the most delicious bait, reveal the secrets of how to be in the watch and how to camouflage.

I think it is being used in both ways in this.

So it refers to a fish hook and to a trick simultaneously?

Yes. What you are reading seems to be promotional writing, so double meanings would be quite usual.
