hi there,
i have seen "to frequent" being used as "to attend". is it very formal English? how should I say during casual situations, please?

PS: this text is an excerpt from an internet newspaper. is the word "practised" correct? should it be "practiced"?

The verb frequent can be used in formal or informal speech or writing. Certainly, it is not slang.
