Default it's time to / for .....

I've already had my supper and you know very well that after supper it's time____

A. to rest
B. for resting

Which one is more appropriate? Any better suggestions?
Please explain your answer.

As time here means a particular point of the day that is suitable for a particular activity
it is used with to + infinitive

therefore I'd use only A.

It's time to rest. (here, rest acts as a verb)
