Do you think it's going to rain over the weekend?

A.I don't believe.

B.I believe not so.

C.I don't believe it.

D.I believe not.

E. I think so.

F. I think not.

G. I don't think so.

H. I hope so.

I. I hope not.

J. I don't know.

Please pick the possible choice(s) and explain your answers one by one even though some of them are inappropriate.

Somebody asks me if it is going to rain over the weekend. I think it will rain. I say:
I think so.

Hi RB.

Add my comments:

Do you think it's going to rain over the weekend?
= Do you think that it's going to rain over the weekend ?

The question can be separated into two parts.

I. Do you think? ---> main clause.

II. that it's going to rain over the weekend.-->subordinate clause.

The main focus of the question is 'do you think' , therefore the answer should be

1. YES, I THINK SO.

2. NO, I DON'T THINK SO.
