| I have a question on the ellipsis usage. Take the following paragraphs for example. This is paragraph 1. This is paragraph 2. This is paragraph 3. This is paragraph 4. If I want to omit paragraph 2, can I say: This is paragraph 1. ... This is paragraph 3. This is paragraph 4. If I want to omit paragraph 2 and paragraph 3, can I say: This is paragraph 1. ... This is paragraph 4. If I want to omit paragraph 2, paragraph 3, a part of paragraph 1 and a part of paragraph 4, can I say: This is.... ... ... paragraph 4. Thanks. |
