    Default ''fit like butter''

    hi,
i heard an expression similar to it on the TV.
the context is a group of mechanics assembling a bike together when one of the guys make a comment about how easy the parts are coming together.
i wonder what is the correct expression, please.
    thanks.

It is fine as it is. The meaning is that the parts fit together smoothly - they slide together as though greased.
