Default good enough

"That's not good enough for Rob. It's not good enough for the Bains. It's not good enough for Elizabeth's memory and it's certainly not good enough for me and it's not good enough for the public to just say, 'Okay that's that.' "

hi,
is there too much "good enough" in this text or is it good English? it was extracted from a today's web newspaper.
thanks a lot.

Default Re: good enough

Repetition like this is used for effect, and it's a case of literary judgment whether it works, or is excessive. For me, it's one to many. Perhaps:

"That's not good enough for Rob. It's not good enough for the Bains. It's not good enough for Elizabeth's memory and it's certainly not good enough for the public to just say, 'Okay, that's that.' "
