the usage of the word "introduce"

in Loman English dictionary the first meaning of the word introduce is "when you introduce someone to another person,you formally tell each other's names ,for examples esp at a party or meeting"
then can I say this way:let me introduce myself.I came from China. My name is weiqun ding. Does this expression suit that of americans? :?

Yes, you can introduce yourself first just like you said:
"Hi, My name is "so and so" and I come from China"
or
"Hi, let me introduce myself; my name is "so and so" and I come from China"

or "Hello everybody, first let me introduce myself....."
" Good Morning everybody. I will be your English teacher for this semester and my name is..."
"Hello, everyone! This is our first class in English and I will be your English taecher this year. My name is..."

etc, etc. :D

I think a comma goes after "hi" but I don't think we put it after hello.

Thank you two very much for pointing out my mistakes. I hope you will do it later. different cultures have differnt letter forms . in China ,at the beginning of each letter.people usually start their letters with the expression"你好：".This is the reason why I have made the confusing form Natalie mentioned.
