| I have a question. How do you spell the space? When you are in a spelling bee and you have a compound word as: fishing rod. Is it correct to say "space"? And if you spell teddy-bear. Is it correct to say hyphen? I appreciate your help. Thanks. |

| Yes, you have to say "space" or "hyphen". "fishing rod f i s h i n g space r o d fishing rod" "teddy-bear t e d d y hyphen b e a r teddy-bear" |
