Default english help

i have a few questions regarding english. i need to know on parts of speech and punctuation the following things, what is sometimes called a simple predicate, who or what the sentece is about, and appositive..

predicate is basically the 'action' thing in a sentence, usually a verb though it is very rarely to be called as predicate. in other languages with no variation of verbs (no V1/V2/V3) the verbs are called predicate.
