"young generation" and "the younger generation"
What is a difference between the following 2 expressions:
1) young generation
2) the younger generation
Could you please give several examples of their using (additional question: I am not sure as well whether I should put here "usage" or "using")?
Thank you in advance :)
Re: "young generation" and "the younger generation"
Hi Tvita
1) young generation is a generation that is young
2) younger generation: in comparison to the previous and older generation
Ex: examples of their usage

Re: "young generation" and "the younger generation"
So in the following sentence which expression would be better to apply?
Sociological research shows that advertising has a huge impact on society, especially on (the) young(er) generation.
