thanks for answering ! | banderas has supplied some good alternatives, but didn't point out that 'ask you for verb+ing' is not an acceptable collocation in general; 'ask you to increase' would be grammatical (but would probably be regarded as excessively direct in this case!) In a report of the conversation though - to people who already know you deserve a rise - you could say 'I asked him to increase my salary'. And in a different context 'asked him to increase' would be perfectly acceptable - example: They asked him to increase the pressure in the inlet pipe.
