Default increase and decrease of price

Price of tomatoes shot up again.(increased)
Price of tomatoes rose agains.(increased)
Price of tomatoes went through rooftop.(increased)

Price of tomatoes shot down. (decrease)

The price of tomatoes shot up again.(increased)
The price of tomatoes rose again.(increased)
The price of tomatoes went through the roof.(increased)

The price of tomatoes went/has gone down. (decrease)
The price of tomatoes fell (down-omit).(decrease) - but this sounds like it would be referring to large quantities and the wholesale price.
The price of tomatoes sank underground.(decrease). NO NO NO

'Up and down' will vary depending on what you are referring to eg
Stocks plummeted/slumped on Wall Street today.
