    Are these sentences correct:

    1-Neanderthals were a separate species to Homo sapiens, as anatomically modern humans are known.

    2-Neanderthals were a separate species to Homo sapiens, as anatomically modern humans are called.

    3-Neanderthals were a separate species to Homo sapiens, as anatomically modern humans are referred to.
