| 2) She doesn't give a damn to what they say. I'd mean that she doesn't care to what they say. Which should I pick out? Thanks in advance. |

| Quick reply. It may be better to write: She doesn't give a damn to what they say. Or She doesn't give a damn what they say to. Thanks in advance again. |

| She gives a damn - she cares about something (in your case what they are saying) She doesnt give a damn - she doesnt care about it. Btw, I think its not possible to use She doesnt give a damn to what they... because its "give a damn about" (a specific structure) For example - Kate: Sue, your house blew up! Sue: I donīt give a damn. (I dont care what happened to the house) But also some poeple say "Like I give a damn!" (usually its an answer to something.) Tom: Brad, your house is on fire! Brad: Like I give a damn! (meaning something along the lines - Why do you think I care about what has happened to my house? or DO I look like I care aboutmy house?) hope its not too much confusing... |

No - you cannot say "give a damn to". The collocation is "give a damn about". |
