Default sit on the edge of one's seat

    1.Is it an idiom?

    2. Does 'sit on the edge of your seat' mean you are expecting or excited to watch something happen?

    Thanks

Yes, if a story keeps you on the edge of your seat, it is very exciting and you want to know what is going to happen.
