simile is an unknown quantity at this point
Question How to say the opposite of monthly exams?

The scenario:
We have monthly exams. The XXX tests are also administered to students.
For example, after finishing teaching vocabulary, teachers give their students a vocabulary test. After finishing a whole lesson, teachers administer an exam for the whole lesson.
How to say XXX in English?
Is it "usual tests(exams)" or "in-class tests(exams)"? (...I guess...)
How do you express this in US and UK schools?

Do you prefer to use "test" or "exam" in this scenario?
How do you say the results of this kind of test?
Do you prefer to call it "XXX test scores" or "XXX test marks"?

Thanks a lot!

Default Re: How to say the opposite of monthly exams?

It would be something like an end-of-unit test and I'd use 'marks' (BrE)
