Hi, everyone.

Which of the following two sentences is right?
You will succeed the second time you try.
You will succeed the second time you will try.

What is the grammar rule for this question and similar ones? Could you show me some explanation or search keywords?

Conditional clause.
Ex.If you work hard you will succeed.

I see another sentence as follows:
It will be the second time I've met him.

Is this sentenece grammatically right? If it is, does it conflict with 'you will succeed the second time (when) you try'?

In sentences like "it's the first time", "it's the second time" we use Present Perfect because you talk about your experiences up to now.

Getting back to your original post, you can say:
"You will succeed next time (the second time) when you try" or "when you have tried".
But in "It is the first time/second time" we say "I have tried" not I try/trying.

Is this sentenece grammatically right? Yes, Enydia, it is.
If it is, does it conflict with 'you will succeed the second time (when) you try'?No it does not.
