Default Verb / Sentence pattern with 'deserve'

Someone recently asked me about the sentence pattern for 'deserve' as in the sentence 'It's what you deserve.' The closest I could explain was that it was similar to the VERB+wh-CLAUSE. Could anybody clarify this?
Many thanks in advance.

Stephen.

The structure is as follows:
It (subject) is (verb) what (relative pronoun) you deserve.
Relative what is equivalent to that which or the thing which, even something that:

It/Losing your job is what you deserve.
Ex: ... is something that you deserve.
Ex: ... is the thing which you deserve.
Ex: ... is that which you deserve.

Can I replace "deserve" with "deserved" in all of your examples? Please.

So, there is no difference between "deserve" and "deserved" in these cases? Please.

Right.

Non-past: It is what you deserve.
Past: It is what you deserved.
