Default adhere to the spirits and road?

    Hello Everyone,

Can we say :" The Chinese nation has persistently adhered to an independent national spirit and road to development."? or Just as my textbook, pursue an independent national spirit and road to development?

    Regards

Default Re: adhere to the spirits and road?

You could use "adhere". Without full context, I wonder about the actual meaning in the sentence.

How about "The Chinese people have maintained an independent national spirit in following the road to [economic and political] development"
