Word Class is the difference: The word adverb is a noun, whereas the word adverbial, note the -al ending, is an adjective (e.g., adverbial clause)

Note that, Some grammars use the term Main Clause/Independent Clause to refer to the Superordinate Clause (i.e., I reject her conclusions.
