I have two sisters .Neither is married.NEITHER should be used only where two persons ,things or two groups are concerned .Both Smith and Jones were invited,but neither has accepted.In case of groups -plural verb.
NEITHER TAKES EACH OF THE TWO SEPERATELY,NOT TOGETHER.
