Exclamation Re: meaning

Pathetic means some thing which arrouses imotion, it can be an imotional outbrust(Crying, shouting at the top of voice etc) Example: The end of the film was pathetic
So here if any body had seen it, it could have created a scene filled with imotional outbrusts

Welcome to the forums.

It needs context. What was noticed or not noticed?

"it would have been pathetic" could be the colloquial phrase meaning that whatever "it" is, the observer regards it as lacking validity or point or courage. Usually said with considerable scorn in the voice.

Are you telling me you're frightened to speak to her? Don't be so pathetic!
