Default hogging the duvet

Good evening,
I can´t understand the following sentence: Food and fashion aren’t the most obvious of bedfellows but that hasn’t stopped Giorgio Armani from hogging the duvet.
Can anybody explain it to me? Thanks for Your time,
Marketa

A vivid way of saying that Giorgio Armani is at the forefront of clothes fashion and restaurant/hotel fashion - an unlikely combination, and that he has managed to get the most media attention for his activities.

Someone hogging the duvet in a bed has pulled the duvet over to his side, leaving anyone else in the bed in the cold.
